Community Involvement

As proud members of our community, AMR has demonstrated its commitment to the Pikes Peak Region in numerous ways. We support local events, charities and non-profit organizations, give school presentations, provide ambulance tours and offer free or reduced cost medical standby for many schools, community and non-profit events. AMR also provides EMT scholarships for college students. AMR is also offer many free and reduced cost services to the members of the community including: transportation for hospice patients through the Sentimental Journey program, CPR classes for first responders and community members,  transportation to home for nursing home residents on holidays (Home for the Holidays program) and car seat checks for parents and families. 

Charitable Dollars

In 2006, AMR’s support included almost $5,600,000 in uncompensated and charitable care to the residents of El Paso County, plus another $100,000 dollars in medical standbys, monetary donations, and over 750 hours of staff time for community outreach and school and group presentations.
