Awards

The Annual Partners in Philanthropy honors local organizations and individuals for their extraordinary philanthropic contributions in five categories.  Nominations are based on volunteer and financial support of nonprofit organizations in Colorado Springs. In 2006, the Outstanding Corporate Philanthropic Program for organizations with less than 250 employees was awarded to American Medical Response.
Nominated by Leadership Pikes Peak, AMR was recognized for their generosity and commitment to excellence.  Along with monetary donations made to programs including Flight for Life Colorado and the Colorado Springs Fire Department, AMR employees are also actively involved in volunteerism and leadership development programs such as Leadership Pikes Peak. 

The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) presented AMR with the prestigious 2006 National EMT-Paramedic Emergency Medical Service of the Year award. The award is given annually to the one EMS system in country that best exemplifies outstanding professionalism and service to its community. Selection criteria included community involvement, medical practice standards, worker safety, training and reward programs, system upgrades and involvement in local and state protocols.

Mark Homan, an instructor for American Medical Response of El Paso County, was recently given the 2006 Heroes Award by the National Association of EMS Educators. The award is given to educators who demonstrate excellence in EMS education.

In 2005 AMR to received the Community of Heroes, for our dedication and commitment to serving hospice patients throughout the Pikes Peak Region.
